CBIT is proud to present Yanthrotsava 2011.
Yanthrotsava aims to provide an appropriate platform for students of various colleges to participate in the technical events related to engineering and to provide an opportunity to highlight the students’ talents.
Tech dumb charades
Rules: Each team will consist of 3 participants. It will have 2 rounds.
1st round In this round 30 slides will be displayed, the team has to recognise the slides. The best 8 teams will be selected from the 1st round.
2nd round It will consist of 4 rounds. Each round will have its own rules. The judgement will be based on time taken. Judges decision will be final.
Seekers
This event is conducted to check how they find out the exact answer when they are provided the source (Internet or clue).
Rules: It will be of 2 rounds. Each team should have 2 participants.
1st round In this round the team has to reach final destination by finding various clues. Initially the team will be given 1 clue when they break that clue they’ll find the next clue. The 1st ten teams reaching the destination will be eligible for 2nd round.
2nd round In this round the team has to decode the code given to them using the answers of the previous question. Each team will be given a set of 14 codes [encrypted] and questions which is not encrypted. In order to decrypt the next question they have to give previous question’s answer as password.
Encrypt: To alter (a file, for example) using a secret code so as to be unintelligible to unauthorized parties
Decrypt: To decode (a message) with or without previous knowledge of its key Each team has to solve all the 14 questions & answers. Judgement will be based on time taken, number of questions answered.
I-CUBE
Rules for I3: The team participating in this event must consist of 3 participants. Only 2 teams of a college can participate. The event consists of 2 rounds i.e. prelims and creative design round. Prelim is a quiz on lateral thinking questions [20min, 20 questions]. The first 5 teams with maximum score in prelims are will be eligible to participate in the final round. The final round is a creative design round, in which the participating team must prepare a working model by using the materials provided, within allotted time [2hrs]. The model should have a theme of simple scientific concept. The decision of the judges will be final.
SOLID MODELING
Rules: Only two members can participate from each college. The event consists of two rounds,
i.e., Part Modelling & Assembly Software used solid edge ST2 Timings
Part modelling: 30 min
Assembly: 1 hr. The decision given by the judges will be considered as final
Programming Contest
Rules: Two Persons per Team Two Teams per college (CS/IS Only) Two Rounds of Competition
I. First Round: Prelims.
Time Duration: 1Hr.
Includes questions of C, C++ & Assembly level.
(Objective, Fill the missing code, Predict Results)
The best ten teams will be selected for second round.
II. Second Round:
Design and Implement the Concept.
There will be set of problems, design the solutions, and implement the solution using C/C++.
Time Limit: 2Hr.
Limited space, less time is major look out.
