Isnt is something good to build a car (tripod as they call) for around Rs 80,000?recently released nano costing around 1 lakh created sensation among middle class ppl across the world….here you have somethng that is even less cost….isnt it something nice?
Its still to be developed and modified….Its very obvious to expect some alteration,develop….Just learn to encourage things……
lastely its not “patend”…its patent…no need to patent for that i guess as its just a new model kind of thing…..All they might need is some investors etc…..which i am least bothered about…

I guess its high time u grow up n c the world as it is. NOBODY is going to buy your car.. or should i call it a pathetic looking Auto!!
1. What is so innovative about your TORPEDO?!!!
you are using a maruthi engine. it runs on petrol.
2. when u get a sleek looking nano for another 20k, y would somebody invest on this ugly auto?!
and all that Bull **** you guys are fighting about.. pesit and non pesit. none of that matters. i belong to neither coll and have completed my masters.
Trust me, looks, appeal and brand value are the only things that can make a cost effective thing sell.
when your particular model offers none, how do you expect it to sell?!

Well….after seeing hearing ALL that is said and shown, I cannot help but wonder: Does any one know what ” Engineering” means these days?
1. That machine will fold in the middle in no time. There is absolutely NO weight distribution/ structural enhancements seen.
The anti-roll cage will not sustain the rigour sof the roads with passengers.
2. An old model M80 is available for 20k. What is done is just chop the front off the old car and extend the chassis for the 3rd wheel.
3. It is foolishness to claim anything with a branded car engine. Maruti Udyog might sue you for using their engine and spares on a non conforming on road car. A new M800 engine costs about Rs.45K. It is not the end of it, either….
-suspension, wheels, brake mech, fabrication, safety parameters, instrumentation,
4. There are rules, specifications and more for an On-road car. These are international specifications that have to be satisfied, before the machine can even be produced.
5. There is no way a car of such design can be even considered, theorectically, for on-road passenger hauling.
6. These are cheap “GIMMICK” projects by the students and approved by the college management and Depts. for cheap publicity and Media attention. Not to forget the creation of ” demand” for seats from gullible and innocent/ignorant students in the next year.
PESIT and RVCE are vying with each other with these kinds of stupid gimmick projects every year, in the name of ENGINEERING, for vested and ulterior purposes. They have even stooped down to false claims of international prizes etc.,
Time people know the truth about these things….it is called cheating…..

The critics are right on this one. The creation is more of an embarrassment than anything. When you make something, make something worthwhile other wise dont make anything at all.
The worst part is all forms of media are making such a BIG deal out of this thing. Its not worthy of any such recognition. It is a tell-tale sign of the lack of creativity, innovation or indigenuity in Engineering colleges in India. Especially in VTU colleges. This is the standard of PESIT and its students. I Thank god im not in that college or university.
