Many GOOGLE “How to present a paper” and end up loosing interest in presenting. There are hundreds of colleges all over India conducting National symposiums  inviting students to come up with their own papers and giving you a national level platform.. So go out there and be innovative.

Here is a brief procedure to go thru..

Answer to all the questions you have about PAPER PRESENTATION.

PAPER PRESENTATION – The procedure of expressing your project/idea/research of a certain topic to the audience/judges.

Procedure…

STEP 1. Choose the right Topic

Always be sure of which topic you going to choose and the one that interests you (or Group). Browse through all the details of that topic, search for papers pertaining to the subject, read the topic books, update the latest trends, read journals and magazines etc. Come up with new results, advancements, more efficient – either way you will have to do it for the betterment in that field.

STEP 2. Have a guide

Guide or mentor is always needy. they tend to help you out in detail, make you understand the basics and boosts the chance of accepting your paper. Details of the guide to be furnished in the paper.

STEP 3. Paper to be Precise

First Most: ABSTRACT.

A short note to define your whole research you have done on that topic and the conclusion you have arrived at. Abstract writing has its own format to be followed.

Once the work is all done, a HARD COPY and a SOFT COPY is made of the paper to be presented.

The hard Copy – The actual paper that is being presented, one copy to the judges and one with you.

Soft Copy – PowerPoint Presentation – Slides are made of the project work done and that is to be used for presenting your paper. Make sure the slides are less descriptive and more for facts, graphs, results and pictures.

I came across this saying “A picture is more than a million words”.

STEP 4.Follow the Standards

IEEE – Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, have set the standards of how the format of paper is to be written. From the abstract till the References. Follow the code. There is an actually PDF that defines it clearly. Available at IEEE website. Do follow up that.

STEP 5. Be Confident

Practice the presentation a couple of times. Choose the right person to present it (if group).

Haan time kidhar hai tumhare paas. Har wakt to ladki ghumane mein, beedi, daaru peene mein chale jaata hai. Kya kare, din me sirf 24 ghantein hi hai.
Ninnajji le look at the hard work that the guy has put into to help all those for paper presentation. You know how hard it is to even right an article? Forget about presentation. An engineer knows how to manage his time well and think technically, work selflessly towards the betterment of society. God knows what will happen to this country with ‘engineers like this’. I would normally not waste my time writing a reply but i am ashamed to see such a negligent attitude from a fellow budding engineer. God bless you. Jai hind.
