VTU students can email complaints on ragging
Engineering students can now tip off the registrar of Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) about ragging incidents by sending an email to [email protected].
VTU registrar S A Kori said, “Victims may be afraid to complain to college officials fearing repercussions. We will ensure that the emails are kept confidential and necessary directions are given to the colleges concerned to take action.
Meanwhile, VTU has sent guidelines to colleges on how to deal with ragging in campuses. Colleges have been asked to show a short film on anti-ragging measures at the start of the academic year. The film has also been uploaded on UGC’s website to spread awareness about the ill effects of ragging. Like last year, institutions have been asked to put up banners warning students not to indulge in ragging. They have also been told to display the names and numbers of officials students can contact in case of ragging.
“Colleges have been asked to constitute anti-ragging committees and also obtain affidavits from students and parents,” Kori added.

I sir, I am lateral entry student,now am studying in 7th sem,
On december-2012 VTU exam on 27 afternoon at 2pm-5pm i have reguler subject, at the same time MATDIP401 subject is alloted, i request to postpone MATDIP401 exam
this is in concern with my 7th sem results which has not yet announced. i tried to contact by phone and also from the college none fetched me. The last option is to make a complaint regarding this. Hope this will get my results before the 8th sem exam commerce.

if this is the case u can but a civil case and bring to notice to college ,, then give a written letter on her to vtu regional office ,,
